Corrugated packaging company Smurfit Kappa has strengthened its paper sacks business in Latin America with $40m investment. The investment will help the company address the demand for environmentally sustainable paper sacks.


Renewable fibre-based packaging producer International Paper has agreed to divest its Kwidzyn pulp and paper mill in Poland. The deal, valued at approximately €670m in cash, was reached by the company with Austrian manufacturer Mayr-Melnhof Karton and includes the mill’s supporting operations.
