Packaging industry dials down Internet of Things hiring in November - data
The proportion of packaging companies hiring for Internet of Things-related positions dropped significantly in November, according to recent research, with 14.3% recruiting for at least one position in the area.

The figure, which features in GlobalData’s latest analysis, represents a decline on the 25.9% of companies who were hiring for Internet of Things-related vacancies a year ago. In the month prior this year, the number was 18.5%.
Of all advertised vacancies in the packaging industry in November, 0.4% were linked to Internet of Things, hitting the same level reached in the same month of 2020.
However, the analysis shows that packaging companies are hiring for Internet of Things jobs at a rate lower than the average for all companies within GlobalData's job analytics database, which stood at 0.7% in November.
